Job Responsibilities

• Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatments as required by policies and regulations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
• Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care.
• Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care decisions.
• Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
• Administers medications as ordered.
• Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
• Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program with a Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS.
• 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Keen knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools for quality improvement.
