Base Pay Range
Solutions Architect + 10% bonus
Location – Kemble (hybrid)
Salary – 70k-90k
Albany Growth are partnered with a UK based IT services company undergoing large scale transformation under new leadership, to hire a team of Solution Architects. With the backing of a new CEO, fresh strategy and PE aligned ambitions, they’re building out high impact teams across Product, Engineering, Architecture and Project Delivery. As a Solutions Architect you will work alongside the sales team to provide solutions for customers based on the Dell, HPE, Pure, compute and storage portfolio of products, with the ability to extend into networking with Juniper, Aruba and Cisco. This is a chance to join a scaling MSP with huge ambition, modern tooling and real investment in people.
We are looking for:
- Solid understanding of technologies offered by major infrastructure vendors including HPE, Dell, Pure, Juniper, Aruba, and others.
- Demonstrated success in pre-sales roles, including designing solutions that align with customer requirements and expectations.
- Certifications at the advanced professional level in areas such as storage architecture/integration and hybrid cloud.
- Master-level certifications are advantageous but not required.
- Preferred certifications in AI, data protection, emerging solutions, and relevant vendor technologies.
- Networking certifications (e.g., Aruba, Juniper, Cisco) are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with orchestration and management platforms such as Juniper Apstra.
- Strong relationship-building abilities with both internal teams and external clients.
- Hands‑on experience with CLI environments and/or orchestration tools.
- Excellent communication skills, proactive mindset, and a positive, self‑motivated approach.
Role Responsibilities
Pre-sales
- Work directly with clients to understand their challenges and translate them into clear technical requirements, proposing solutions using platforms and services from leading infrastructure providers such as HPE, Dell, Pure, Juniper, Aruba, and others.
- Participate in all pre-sales engagements, including technical presentations, whiteboarding sessions, and producing written deliverables such as RFI responses and Statements of Work.
- Architect reliable, scalable solutions covering compute, storage, networking, and related infrastructure technologies.
- Deliver on-site demonstrations and presentations, both independently and in collaboration with vendor representatives.
- Develop, manage, and maintain demonstration environments.
- Create detailed Bills of Materials to support the sales team in generating customer quotations.
- Respond to internal helpdesk requests from sales teams promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and deliver customer‑facing workshops and presentations as needed.
- Produce standard project documents—such as High‑Level and Low‑Level Designs—to support successful post‑sales delivery.
Technical Certification
- Maintain active status for all required industry and vendor certifications.
- Complete ongoing training—both self‑guided and vendor‑led—to achieve and retain necessary qualifications.
- Recommend training opportunities that will contribute to both personal development and the needs of the organisation.
