Head of Product (Mobile Apps)

Albany Growth are working with a well-established B2B SaaS business undergoing a major product modernisation programme. To drive continued innovation and usability across their Mobile Apps portfolio, they’re hiring a Head of Product (Mobile Apps) to own the strategy, performance, and evolution of their mobile offering. As the Head of Product (Mobile Apps), you will be working in a high impact role, blending product ownership with hands-on leadership across design, architecture, and delivery. You’ll shape the product roadmap, evolve user experience, and align closely with cross-functional teams to ensure their mobile apps are intuitive, high-performing, and seamlessly integrated with backend platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Product Ownership
- Define and own the long-term vision, roadmap, and strategy for a suite of mobile applications.
- Drive product discovery and backlog prioritisation informed by user feedback, technical constraints, and commercial impact.
- Translate operational workflows into clear user stories, success metrics, and product requirements.
Platform & Delivery
- Work closely with engineering and architecture teams on platform design, tooling choices, and tech strategy.
- Lead delivery across the full lifecycle—from MVP to scaling, iteration, and eventual retirement of legacy products.
- Ensure seamless integration with ERP and cloud platforms via APIs and middleware.
User Experience & Performance
- Partner with UX to deliver clean, consistent interfaces across all mobile touchpoints.
- Monitor key app metrics (e.g., crash rates, responsiveness, adoption, NPS) and use insights to drive optimisation.
- Manage app store presence, release cadence, and collaboration with QA for both iOS and Android environments.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Be the go-to product voice for all things mobile—aligning commercial, technical, and customer teams.
- Use analytics, customer feedback, and market trends to inform decision-making and roadmap evolution.
- Act as a champion for mobile-first thinking across the wider product organisation.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in product management, with a strong focus on mobile app delivery.
- Proven success managing a live portfolio of apps in a B2B, SaaS, or ERP environment.
- Hands-on familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (e.g., .NET MAUI, Xamarin, Flutter, React Native).
- Deep understanding of mobile UX, secure login flows, offline-first design, and platform distribution.
- Technical fluency—comfortable discussing APIs, CI/CD, performance, and mobile architecture.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, ISO 27001) is a plus.
Hybrid working (2/3 days per week in office) – Hungerford preferred, but other UK locations considered (Newcastle, Nottingham, Bromsgrove, Tankersley)
