Operations Analyst – Digital Finance

Albany Beck is an award-winning consultancy specialising in Technology, Risk and Compliance primarily within Financial Services. We work with top tier Investment Banks, Asset Management firms, Hedge Funds and Fintechs.

We are currently hiring an Operations Analyst to join one of our financial services clients to support the trading and asset management business’s trading in 24/7 digital and traditional markets. We are looking for a flexible and dynamic individual to help the business grow from its exciting launch phase.

You will be responsible for managing clients, Prime Brokers, Custodians and trading venues in their High Frequency market making business, ensuring trades settle in a timely fashion, margin calls are met and accounts are appropriately funded in a sophisticated global trading business.

This is an opportunity to join a new business in an important function and help design and shape the role and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Trade reconciliations – ensuring trades and positions reconcile with Prime Brokers and Custodians.
  • Managing cash and digital balances – Instructing transfers of both Fiat and Digital currencies and assets.
  • Counterparty management – Liaising with trading counterparties to ensure timely settlement.
  • Processes Management – Help design processes for new trading flows and asset types and work to optimise existing flows to automate and streamline as much as possible.

Skillset required:

  • Confident, organised and self-motivated – ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Settlement experience in both traditional and digital assets
  • Experience of a high volume trading environment, trading across multiple regions and assets
  • Problem solving skills think on their feet, be proactive and spot opportunities to improve processes
  • Candidate needs to have good analytical skills
  • Easily personable with colleagues and clients
