Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex technology programmes within financial services environments. The role will involve managing projects across portfolio management, risk, and tax platforms (including tools such as eXimius, Bita Risk, and CGIX), alongside supporting infrastructure and system integrations.

The successful candidate will operate in a client-facing capacity, providing strong leadership, governance, and delivery assurance while working collaboratively with business, technology, and change stakeholders.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery & Leadership

Lead end-to-end (E2E) project delivery, ensuring outcomes are delivered to agreed time, cost, scope, and quality.

Provide strong leadership and direction to project teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Act as a trusted delivery lead within client environments, representing Albany Beck with professionalism and credibility.

Planning & Governance

Define and manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource models, ensuring dependencies and assumptions are clearly documented and agreed.

Ensure all project governance, controls, and stage-gate requirements are completed in line with client and regulatory standards.

Lead project forums, working groups, and delivery ceremonies, driving actions to closure.

Stakeholder Management

Establish effective communication across technology teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and senior leadership.

Provide clear, concise reporting to Steering Committees and senior forums, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and financials.

Support decision-making by presenting delivery options, impacts, and recommendations.

Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring robust mitigation plans are in place.

Manage project budgets and financials, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and adherence to approved funding.

Track and report progress against milestones and agreed KPIs.

Change & Value Delivery

Work closely with Change, Product, and Business teams to prioritise delivery activities and backlogs in line with maximum business value.

Support adoption, transition, and operational readiness activities as required.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager within financial services (asset management, investment management, wealth, or capital markets).

Strong experience delivering technology-enabled change, including system implementations and integrations.

Solid understanding of project governance, delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).

Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and steering committees.

Strong risk, issue, and dependency management capability.

Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.

Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.

Experience with portfolio management, risk management, or tax platforms (e.g. eXimius, Bita Risk, CGIX or similar).

Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.

Knowledge of regulatory or operational change within financial services.
