Role overview
Albany Beck is growing its Change & Transformation Practice and are looking to hire an experienced Operational Resilience & Risk Lead to support a major London Markets engagement. This is a senior hands-on role supporting a new Lloyd’s of London market entry initiative for ASR. The successful individual will be responsible for designing and embedding a full operational resilience and risk framework from the ground up, ensuring alignment with London Market regulatory expectations. This is not an advisory-only position — the role requires full ownership of end-to-end design, implementation, and initial BAU embedding of the framework, supporting the organisation as it moves towards syndicate readiness and operational maturity.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a full Operational Risk & Resilience framework tailored to London Markets / Lloyd’s requirements
- Define and embed key regulatory components including:
- Important Business Services (IBS)
- Impact tolerances
- End-to-end dependency mapping (people, process, technology, third parties)
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience designing and implementing Operational Risk and/or Operational Resilience frameworks from scratch or in early-stage environments
- Strong background within London Markets / insurance / reinsurance, ideally with exposure to Lloyd’s of London syndicates
- Deep understanding of UK regulatory expectations (FCA / PRA operational resilience requirements)
- Experience defining:
- Important Business Services (IBS)
- Impact tolerances
- End-to-end business service mapping
