Role Overview

Albany Beck is partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation to hire a Finance Systems Analyst to support a high-profile finance systems transformation initiative.

This role sits within the Finance Systems team and will focus on supporting, enhancing and optimising finance reporting capabilities across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Operations and Technology stakeholders to manage reporting processes, improve data quality and contribute to strategic transformation initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong finance systems experience who enjoys working across data, reporting, stakeholder management and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced Financial Services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance finance reporting systems and operational processes.
  • Maintain and improve reporting capabilities using TM1 and Power BI.
  • Develop, maintain and troubleshoot dashboards, reports and MI solutions.
  • Analyse data and investigate reporting issues to support business decision-making.
  • Work closely with Finance users and Technology teams to gather and document business requirements.
  • Support data validation, reconciliation and governance activities across finance systems.
  • Monitor reporting processes and ensure timely delivery of accurate financial information.
  • Assist with system testing, upgrades and implementation activities.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation.
  • Contribute to finance transformation and change initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, risk and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with financial planning tools
  • Power BI development and reporting experience
  • Strong understanding of finance reporting processes and finance systems.
  • Experience supporting MI/reporting frameworks and operational reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience working with large datasets and data quality processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with TM1 (IBM Planning Analytics)
  • Experience working within Financial Services environments.
  • Exposure to finance transformation or systems change initiatives.
  • Understanding of general ledger, reconciliations and financial reporting processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting environments.
  • Familiarity with data governance and controls.
  • Experience working across business and technology teams.
