Role Overview
Albany Beck is growing its Enterprise Transformation capability and is seeking an experienced Enterprise Programme Manager to lead the introduction of structured programme governance across a complex, multi-initiative environment. This role will be responsible for establishing programme management office (PMO) discipline where none currently exists, bringing structure, visibility, and control to a portfolio of approximately 40 transformation initiatives aligned across 7 strategic outcomes. You will play a critical role in shifting the organisation away from reactive project delivery towards a coordinated, enterprise-wide transformation approach. Operating within a vertically aligned CIO structure and a global technology estate, you will ensure initiatives are properly governed, prioritised, and delivered with clear accountability and alignment to strategic objectives. This is a senior transformation leadership role suited to someone who has operated in complex, regulated environments and is confident introducing delivery frameworks, governance structures, and executive-level reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and embed an enterprise programme governance framework across multiple transformation initiatives
- Build and introduce programme management office (PMO) capability from the ground up
- Coordinate and manage a portfolio of c.40 initiatives aligned to 7 strategic enterprise outcomes
- Drive structured oversight of programme dependencies, risks, prioritisation, and reporting
- Introduce delivery discipline, governance forums, and standardised programme management practices
- Transition delivery culture from reactive project execution to structured transformation management
- Ensure alignment across vertically structured CIO organisations and multiple technology teams
- Provide clear and consistent executive-level reporting and programme visibility
- Support decision-making across senior stakeholders and governance boards
- Oversee coordination of enterprise replatforming and infrastructure modernisation initiatives
- Embed consistency in delivery approach across a global technology estate
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Enterprise Programme Manager or Transformation Lead in large-scale organisations
- Strong track record of establishing or enhancing PMO and programme governance structures
- Experience managing complex, multi-stream transformation portfolios in regulated environments
- Background in enterprise technology transformation, infrastructure, or platform modernisation
- Experience operating within large, matrixed organisations with CIO-led structures
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership
- Ability to bring structure, governance, and clarity to fast-paced or reactive delivery environments
- Excellent understanding of programme reporting, dependency management, and prioritisation frameworks
- Experience working within global or multi-regional technology estates
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills with an enterprise mindset
