Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst (Tech BA) to support a strategic initiative focused on the disablement of client records in source systems following migration, ensuring seamless downstream data and process integrity.
he role will involve analysing system dependencies, defining business and technical requirements, and working closely with technology and operations teams to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with data, regulatory, and operational standards.
The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of wealth management or corporate banking environments, and hands-on experience working across data migration, client lifecycle management, and systems decommissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed analysis of client disablement processes post-migration from the source system(s).
- Identify and document all downstream system dependencies, data flows, and integrations affected by client disablement.
- Define and validate business rules, triggers, and exception handling for disabling clients and associated data.
- Collaborate with technology, data, and business stakeholders to ensure downstream systems handle client disablement correctly.
- Produce detailed process maps, data lineage, and impact assessments.
- Work with developers, testers, and architects to define and validate technical solutions and interface changes.
- Support data quality and reconciliation efforts post-migration to confirm system integrity.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, retention, and regulatory requirements during client disablement.
- Prepare and maintain high-quality business and functional documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, and data mapping specifications.
- Participate in UAT and post-implementation validation activities to ensure accuracy of disablement logic and outcomes.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst within Wealth Management, Private Banking, or Corporate Banking domains.
- Strong understanding of client data structures, lifecycle events, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Demonstrated experience with data migration, data lineage, and source system decommissioning projects.
- Knowledge of downstream system integration impacts (CRM, AML/KYC, reporting, regulatory systems, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to manage complex data and system dependencies.
- Experience writing technical and functional documentation and conducting stakeholder workshops.
- Familiarity with SQL / data querying to support analysis and validation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across business and IT teams.
Desirable:
- Experience with core banking or client management platforms (e.g., Avaloq, Temenos, Murex, Salesforce, etc.).
- Understanding of regulatory requirements such as MiFID II, FATCA, GDPR, or equivalent.
- Exposure to cloud migration projects or modernisation programmes.
- Agile and/or Waterfall delivery experience.
