Albany Beck are scaling our Cyber capabilities and looking to hire an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Project Manager to support a major cybersecurity transformation programme within a leading financial services organisation. This is a high-impact consulting role focused on delivering critical cyber initiatives across multiple security domains, including Data Protection and Malware Security.

We are looking for a hands-on cyber project manager with broad cybersecurity experience who can confidently lead delivery, work closely with technical teams, and effectively leverage Subject Matter Experts to drive outcomes. This role requires someone who is proactive, adaptable, and comfortable operating across multiple cybersecurity disciplines rather than specialising in a single area.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of strategic cybersecurity initiatives, with a particular focus on:

  • Data Protection
  • Cybersecurity Risk Reduction

  • Regulatory and Operational Resilience Initiatives

You will partner with cybersecurity teams, technology stakeholders, and business leaders to deliver projects that strengthen the organisation's security posture and support enterprise-wide cyber objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of cybersecurity projects across multiple workstreams.
  • Work closely with technical teams, architects, engineers, and security SMEs to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Drive progress through proactive issue resolution and risk management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to business objectives.
  • Maintain strong governance, reporting, and project documentation throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Take a hands-on approach to delivery, actively contributing to project outcomes where required.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Build strong relationships with cybersecurity leadership, technology teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Facilitate workshops, steering committees, and project governance forums.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear business-focused communications.
  • Provide regular status reporting, highlighting key achievements, risks, and dependencies.

Risk, Governance & Change Management

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues proactively.
  • Ensure appropriate governance and change management controls are followed.
  • Drive decision-making and escalation management where necessary.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and compliance-related activities linked to project delivery.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project spend and proactively manage financial risks and variances.
  • Support financial reporting and planning activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across cybersecurity, technology, and business functions.
  • Create a collaborative and accountable delivery environment.
  • Leverage specialist expertise effectively while maintaining overall ownership of project outcomes.
  • Mentor and support junior team members where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience delivering cybersecurity projects within Financial Services environments.
  • Strong cybersecurity background with exposure across multiple security domains.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering Data Protection, Malware, Security Operations, Infrastructure Security, or related cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with highly technical teams and cybersecurity SMEs.
  • Hands-on project delivery experience with a willingness to take ownership and drive outcomes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organisational levels.
  • Experience managing project budgets, timelines, risks, and governance processes.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
