Albany Beck is partnering with a leading global financial services organisation to deliver a high-impact FX transformation programme. We’re looking for an experienced Junior FX Business Analyst to join a fast-moving team working at the intersection of markets, technology, and operations. This role is ideal for someone who understands FX products and trading environments and enjoys translating complex market and business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed business, market, and product analysis across FX trading and supporting functions, leveraging a strong understanding of FX instruments, pricing, execution, and lifecycle events.
- Work closely with front office, operations, risk, technology, and control functions to elicit, analyse, and document business requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and process flows, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria, supporting system testing and UAT phases.
- Actively support UAT execution, defect triage, and issue resolution, working with development and support teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Engage with technology and support teams to ensure solutions are scalable, well understood, and fit for purpose.
- Manage and coordinate stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle, providing regular updates and ensuring expectations are aligned.
- Support implementation and go-live activities, including post-implementation review and handover to BAU teams.
Required Skills & Experience
- Business Analyst within FX or Capital Markets environments.
- Solid understanding of FX products, including spot, forwards, swaps, and related workflows.
- Knowledge of FX trading systems, booking models, confirmations, settlements, and post-trade processes.
- Proven experience producing high-quality business requirements, functional specifications, and test artefacts.
- Comfortable working in complex, regulated financial services environments.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models.
- Previous experience in a consulting or change delivery role.
- Exposure to FX transformation, platform upgrades, or regulatory-driven change.
- Familiarity with data, reporting, or control frameworks within FX environments.
