Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a major Risk & Regulatory Change programme within a leading Capital Markets institution.
This role is ideal for a Business Analyst who enjoys interpreting complex regulations, challenging existing frameworks, and working with stakeholders to identify and deliver regulatory-driven change. You will play a key role in assessing regulatory impacts, conducting gap analyses, and helping shape the target-state operating model across risk functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyse new and evolving regulatory requirements and assess their impact on business processes, controls, and operating models.
- Conduct detailed gap analyses between regulatory expectations and current-state capabilities.
- Engage with SMEs, Risk teams, Compliance functions, and business stakeholders to gather information and validate findings.
- Review policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and existing documentation to identify areas requiring remediation.
- Translate regulatory requirements into clear business requirements and actionable deliverables.
- Facilitate workshops, deep-dive sessions, and stakeholder meetings to drive analysis and decision-making.
- Support regulatory change initiatives throughout the project lifecycle, from impact assessment through to implementation.
- Produce high-quality BA artefacts including requirements documentation, impact assessments, process maps, and gap analysis reports.
Required Experience
- Proven Business Analysis experience within Capital Markets, Investment Banking, or Financial Services.
- Exposure to Credit Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, or broader Risk Change programmes.
- Demonstrable experience delivering Regulatory Change and Gap Analysis initiatives.
- Ability to interpret regulatory text and assess business, process, and control impacts.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts across business and technology functions.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
- Self-starter who can work independently, lead discussions, and drive workstreams with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of European regulatory frameworks and regulatory change programmes.
- Experience with regulations such as CRD/CRR, Basel, EMIR, MiFID II, FRTB, or similar global regulatory initiatives.
- Previous consulting experience within complex transformation or change environments.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks and regulatory operating models.
What Weโre Looking For
We're looking for a confident and proactive Business Analyst who can take ownership from day one. You'll be comfortable sitting in detailed regulatory workshops, engaging directly with SMEs, reviewing existing frameworks, and identifying where gaps exist between regulatory expectations and current capabilities. Most importantly, you'll be able to turn complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable outcomes that support successful business change.
