Business Analyst - Insurance Transformation
London (Hybrid)
Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join one of our Financial Services clients, supporting a business-critical transformation programme focused on process optimisation, data quality, governance and operational efficiency.
This role sits within a wider transformation function and will play a key part in reviewing and improving complex end-to-end business processes that span multiple operational and corporate functions. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to understand current ways of working, identify opportunities for improvement and help shape future-state operating models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead workshops and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements and understand current business processes.
- Document and analyse end-to-end workflows, identifying inefficiencies, control weaknesses and process gaps.
- Produce high-quality process maps, business requirements and supporting documentation.
- Define future-state processes and operating models that improve consistency, governance and operational effectiveness.
- Assess data flows, ownership structures and control frameworks across multiple business functions.
- Develop recommendations for both short-term process improvements and longer-term transformation initiatives.
- Support the creation of implementation roadmaps and business cases.
- Produce clear documentation, operating procedures and user guidance where required.
- Track progress against agreed deliverables and ensure outcomes are achieved within programme timelines.
Skills & Experience
- Proven Business Analysis experience within Financial Services, ideally Insurance or the London Market.
- Strong process mapping and business process improvement experience.
- Experience facilitating workshops and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to elicit, document and manage business requirements.
- Understanding of operational controls, governance and reconciliation processes.
- Experience working across multiple business functions including operations, finance, risk, underwriting, data or transformation teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complexity into practical solutions.
- Excellent written documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- London Market insurance experience.
- Exposure to premium, finance, accounting, credit control or operational reporting processes.
- Experience supporting target operating model design and transformation programmes.
- Familiarity with data platforms, reporting environments or core insurance systems.
