Role Overview
Albany Beck is seeking an experienced Agile Project Manager to join our consulting team, driving delivery for a major Avaloq implementation within a leading financial institution. The programme involves extending the platform beyond banking into new service lines, including investments and custody.
You’ll be responsible for running Scrum teams, facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring high-quality delivery while managing complex stakeholder relationships and vendor performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage Scrum teams, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Oversee delivery of new service lines within Avaloq, ensuring alignment with programme objectives.
- Collaborate closely with technology teams, understanding technical challenges and delivery constraints.
- Manage and, when necessary, push back on both vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain realistic scope and timelines.
- Track delivery progress, manage risks, and provide transparent reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in Agile practices and team performance.
- Coordinate across multiple workstreams to manage dependencies and integration points.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an Agile Project Manager in financial services.
- Strong background in running Scrum teams and facilitating Agile ceremonies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and challenge stakeholders constructively.
- Experience delivering large-scale technology change, ideally with Avaloq.
- Knowledge of investment management and custody processes is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of managing technical teams in complex programme environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills.
