Want to invent the future of the Space Industry? You have come to the right place! Alba Orbital is looking for an Intern (5 months) to join our satellite engineering team. The candidate will have the chance to exercise their initiative, adaptability and drive in a fast-paced, highly technical environment. This role will have an emphasis on Event planning for our annual PocketQube Conference.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the initiative to expand the PocketQube launch market by organising the PocketQube Conference and crafting marketing campaigns for Alba's Rocket Launch rideshare business.
  • Develop skills in event planning, marketing strategy, and communication, contributing to the democratisation of space access.
  • Help organise the PocketQube Conference, planning, coordinating, and securing sponsors/exhibitors.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders, coordinate speakers, and ensure a seamless event experience.
  • Lead the creation of targeted marketing campaigns for Alba's rideshare business, emphasising the benefits of PocketQube technology.
  • Develop content, coordinate digital and social media campaigns, and analyse campaign performance metrics.

This internship offers a unique blend of technical and non-technical skills development, providing the intern with a comprehensive understanding of marketing and events management in the context of space technology and small satellite launches.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate program, with a focus on Marketing, Business, Event Management, Engineering, Psychology or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles and event management concepts.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in event planning or marketing, either through coursework, internships, or extracurricular activities.
  • Good understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Creative thinking and the ability to contribute innovative ideas to marketing campaigns.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with team members in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of the space industry, especially small satellite technologies, would be advantageous.
  • Graphic design skills or experience using design software.

5 months minimum fixed term contract to be agreed with successful candidate. Could be extended for the correct candidate.
