We're looking for a qualified accountant to take ownership of a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact and overseeing the full range of finance services we deliver to them. This is a client-facing role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships as much as reviewing numbers.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of clients as their primary contact, building long-term working relationships
- Oversee delivery of year-end statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax
- Review work prepared by junior team members and support their development
- Monitor deadlines across Companies House, HMRC and internal reporting
- Identify opportunities to add value through advisory work, systems improvements and additional services
- Handle billing, scoping and onboarding for your portfolio
About you
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Experience in UK practice with exposure to a varied client base
- Confident communicator, comfortable leading client meetings and explaining figures to non-finance people
- Working knowledge of cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage
- Organised, commercially minded and able to juggle competing deadlines
