What You Will Do:
- Identify and develop enterprise opportunities to expand Alation's footprint across data cataloging, governance, data quality, and AIâdriven use cases.
- Lead consultative, multiâthreaded sales cycles that often involve Câlevel stakeholders, technical teams, and AI transformation leaders.
- Advise customers on integrating AIâpowered data intelligence into their analytics, governance, and AI frameworks.
- Champion Alation's offeringsâData Catalog, Data Governance, Data Quality, Marketplace, Numbers Station, and AI Agentsâto drive strategic business outcomes.
- Influence Câlevel executives on shaping their AIâreadiness roadmap and trusted data foundation.
- Help enterprises operationalise trusted data pipelines that ensure safe and compliant use of GenAI and LLMâbased agents.
- Apply enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC, Force Management, and Value Selling to forecast accurately and execute consistently.
- Navigate complex RFPs, procurement processes, and crossâdepartmental decision structures with strategic rigor.
- Represent Alation at industry events, executive briefings, and AI/data summits as a trusted voice in data intelligence and responsible AI.
- Maintain expertâlevel awareness of market trends in AI, data governance, and agentic experiences to position Alation's differentiation.
What You Need:
- 10+ years of success in complex SaaS sales, ideally across data, analytics, and/or AI.
- Consistently exceeded quota by earning executive trust and delivering measurable value to Fortune 1000 organizations.
- Deep understanding of the data and emerging AI ecosystem, including governance, data quality, and valueâbased selling.
- Proven success influencing Chief Data Officers, Chief Analytics Officers, Lines of Business, and AI/ML leaders at Fortune 1000 companies.
- Strategic advisory acumen combined with a competitive drive to close deals.
- Experience selling with or alongside platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and executive presence; ability to translate technical capabilities into impactful business outcomes.
- Collaborative and coachable mindset; thrives in crossâfunctional, fastâpaced environments.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; advanced degree a plus.
