Site Technical Manager North Yorkshire Up to Β£75,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Private Healthcare Monday – Friday | Days Are you an experienced Technical Manager looking for the opportunity to lead the technical function within a successful and established food manufacturing business? We are working with a leading food manufacturer in North Yorkshire to recruit a Site Technical Manager to join its senior leadership team. This is a key site leadership position with responsibility for driving the technical strategy, food safety culture and technical performance across the operation. You will lead and develop an established technical team while ensuring the highest standards of food safety, legality, quality and customer compliance. Working closely with the Site Director and wider senior leadership team, you will have significant influence across the business and play an important role in the continued development of the site. The Role As Site Technical Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the site's technical function, ensuring systems, processes and procedures meet legislative, customer and industry requirements. You will lead and develop the technical management team, build strong relationships with key retail customers and ensure the site remains audit-ready while driving continuous improvement in technical and food safety performance. Key responsibilities will include: Leading, managing and developing the site's Technical function Driving a strong Food Safety and Quality culture across the site Ensuring compliance with BRC Global Standards, retailer Codes of Practice and relevant legislation Taking accountability for the site's HACCP systems and Quality Management System Leading site preparation for customer and third-party audits and visits Developing strong relationships with key technical customer contacts Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Hygiene and QA to continually improve food safety, legality and quality Driving technical KPIs and delivering sustained performance improvements Supporting new product development through the stage and gate process Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities Coaching and developing the technical leadership team, including succession planning and personal development Playing an active role within the senior leadership team and contributing to the site's wider strategy The Person We are looking for an established technical professional with strong experience within food manufacturing and the credibility to operate as a senior leader within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideally, you will have: Previous experience in a senior Technical Manager or Site Technical Manager position within food manufacturing Strong knowledge of BRC Global Standards and retailer Codes of Practice Experience of working directly with major retailers Strong people management, coaching and team development experience Excellent knowledge of food safety, quality systems, HACCP and compliance Experience of managing customer and third-party audits A proven ability to drive technical KPIs and continuous improvement Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills A strategic approach combined with the ability to remain close to day-to-day site operations Degree-level education or equivalent Level 4 HACCP Level 4 Food Safety Level 4 Listeria qualifications The Package Salary: Up to Β£75,000 Benefits: Bonus + Car Allowance + Private Healthcare Hours: Monday – Friday, Days Location: North Yorkshire This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished technical leader to join a successful food manufacturing business in a highly influential position with genuine responsibility for the site's technical strategy, team and performance.
