A highly regarded and well-established food manufacturing business based in Knaresborough is looking to appoint a Production Shift Manager to join their growing team. The Role
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of your shift, leading a team through 4 direct reports. You will ensure operational excellence across key areas including safety, service, food standards, people development, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop your team to deliver high performance
- Ensure strict adherence to health & safety and food safety standards
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build and execute effective production plans to meet customer demand
- Maintain high service levels and on-time delivery performance
- Support training and development across the production team
- Monitor KPIs and implement improvements where required
About You
- Proven experience in a production or shift management role within manufacturing
- Food manufacturing experience is highly advantageous
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to build and execute production plans effectively
- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
