Are you an experienced Production Team Leader, Production Supervisor or Team Manager looking to join a successful and growing food manufacturing business?

Our client is a highly regarded food manufacturer with a strong reputation for investing in its people and operations. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Team Manager to lead and develop a production team within their busy manufacturing operation in the North West.

The Role

Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will take responsibility for leading a production team, ensuring the daily production plan is achieved safely, efficiently, on time and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, motivating and developing your production team
  • Delivering production plans on time, in full and to specification
  • Driving KPIs including OEE, yield, waste, productivity and plan attainment
  • Managing labour planning, attendance, performance and engagement
  • Ensuring food safety, HACCP, GMP and health & safety standards are maintained
  • Driving continuous improvement and supporting site improvement projects
  • Ensuring machinery and production processes operate efficiently
  • Working closely with Technical, Engineering and other departments
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, compliance and factory performance

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced people manager with a background in food manufacturing, FMCG or another fast-paced production environment. xiskglj

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience leading teams within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of HACCP, BRC, hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Experience of managing production KPIs and driving improvements
  • An understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
  • A hands-on, positive leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop others
