A growing manufacturing and distribution business in West Yorkshire is seeking a confident, hands-on professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of their transport department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the transport team
  • Ensure compliance with transport legislation, driver hours, and tachograph regulations
  • Plan rotas, allocate resources, and manage 3rd party hauliers and agency drivers
  • Monitor vehicle availability, servicing, MOTs, defects, and fleet performance
  • Handle DVLA licence checks and fuel card usage
  • Conduct disciplinary meetings, RTW interviews, and recruitment for driving roles
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure an efficient supply chain
  • Produce daily reports and attend management meetings
