A well-established and growing food manufacturing business in Skipton is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to play a key role in maintaining and improving standards across the site. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager to join a collaborative leadership team where quality, food safety and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Working closely with senior management and reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will lead quality, hygiene and processing operations while helping drive a positive, high-performing culture across the site. As the Quality Manager, you will also have the opportunity to deputise for the Production Manager when required, giving you involvement in day-to-day operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading processing operations and managing associated teams
  • Maintaining strong quality control, food safety and hygiene standards across processing and packing areas
  • Developing and supporting teams through training, performance reviews, rotas, attendance management and development planning
  • Leading HACCP and quality management meetings
  • Managing internal and external audits, quality testing, non-conformances and corrective actions
  • Maintaining and improving hygiene policies, procedures and work instructions
  • Supporting site safety, including contractor control and accident investigation
  • Managing stock levels for processing consumables, chemicals and PPE
  • Working closely with production, maintenance and suppliers to maximise site efficiency
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across processing systems and procedures
About You:
  • Proven experience in a Quality or Processing Management role within food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and hygiene systems
  • A confident and supportive people manager who enjoys developing teams
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong eye for detail
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys improving processes and standards
