We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established, independent group of two companies (T/O c£18m) with over 50 years of experience in the construction / engineering industries. As the businesses continue to scale and evolve, we’re looking for a Buyer to work across both businesses to take ownership of supplier strategy, product sourcing, and supply chain optimisation.

Location: Based at HQ near Bradford (occasional travel to suppliers/industry events)

The Role: This is a key position within the leadership team, focused on managing and enhancing the existing supply chain, building supplier partnerships, and ensuring the business continues to deliver value to its customer base. You’ll review existing agreements, identify areas for improvement, and negotiate robust, cost-effective contracts—while sourcing new, innovative products aligned with market demand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement of M&E, HVAC, electrical products and valves & associated products
  • Review, renegotiate, and formalise supplier contracts
  • Source new manufacturers and products in line with company strategy
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality and delivery standards
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Ops, Directors) to align supply chain strategy
  • Track market trends and pricing fluctuations to make informed purchasing decisions
