Job Title: Shift Engineer Location: North Norfolk Salary: £49,337 + Benefits Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join a busy food manufacturing site in North Norfolk. In this role, you will be responsible for the repairs, maintenance, and servicing of site equipment, facilities, and subsidiary buildings within your trade competence. You will provide engineering expertise and support to the manufacturing team, ensuring maximum performance, reliability, and efficiency, while working to high standards of safety and compliance. Responsibilities: As a Shift Engineer, you will carry out planned and reactive maintenance to keep equipment and facilities running smoothly. You will respond to breakdowns, complete routine checks, and ensure maintenance records and permits are kept up to date. The role includes supporting preventative maintenance, maintaining safe working practices, mentoring apprentices, and working with other teams to drive performance and efficiency. Qualifications & Skills: To be considered, you will have completed a recognised apprenticeship in either electrical or mechanical engineering and possess strong problem-solving skills. Numeracy, literacy, and basic IT skills are required. Desirable experience includes working within an FMCG environment, knowledge of engineering drive systems and electrical controls (such as HMIs, profibus, PLCs), hydraulic and pneumatic skills, and a forklift truck licence.
