A major UK food manufacturing site is looking for a Production Manager to lead operations and drive performance at a high-output, complex facility. This role plays a critical part in ensuring quality products are delivered to customers efficiently, safely, and on time. You will manage a team of Team Managers, each overseeing large numbers of operators and technicians, and report directly to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support a team of Team Managers, ensuring high standards of performance and engagement
  • Uphold and enhance Health & Safety practices across the production floor
  • Deliver against KPIs, ensuring operational effectiveness and continuous improvement
  • Work cross-functionally to embed a culture of CI and colleague empowerment
  • Oversee cost control, budgets, and site profitability
  • Maintain site standards including pest control and hygiene compliance

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role within manufacturing (high-risk food environment preferred)
  • Strong background in people management and team development
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Solid understanding of budgetary control and cost management
  • Resilient and confident under pressure, with a positive and proactive mindset
