Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join a close-knit team, focusing on small works projects ranging from GBP2,000 to GBP500,000. This role primarily involves insurance-related repairs, including fire and flood damage restoration, making properties safe, and replacing floors, kitchens, skirting boards, and architraves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out joinery work on insurance repair projects, including fire and flood damage restoration.
- Perform small works projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship in flooring, kitchens, skirting boards, architraves, and other aspects of interior restoration.
- Ensure safety and compliance with all construction and health & safety regulations.
- Work collaboratively with a tight-knit team that enjoys a social work environment, including regular team outings.
- Maintain a professional approach when dealing with clients and insurance providers.
Requirements:
- Ideally qualified in Joinery/Carpentry, but strong experience in joinery work may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
- Must successfully complete a DBS check.
- Comfortable with traveling to sites across CA, DG, and LA postcode areas.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently while contributing to the team dynamic.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
Salary & Benefits:
- GBP17.94 per hour
- Overtime rates:
- x1.5 up to 12:00 PM on Saturdays
- x2 after 12:00 PM on Saturdays and for early mornings before 06:00 AM
- Travel time: 20 mins each way (unpaid)
- Lunch: 30 mins unpaid (flexible approach)
- Pension scheme: 3% / 5% contributions
- Holidays: 20 days plus bank holidays
- Van provided (no private use, but allowances for short weekend journeys or supermarket trips with prior approval)
