We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Livestock Administration Manager to lead a small but vital team supporting livestock procurement operations for a busy food manufacturing business in Nelson. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that plays a key role in the UK food supply chain, offering the chance to lead day-to-day livestock admin processes and act as a key link between farmers, buyers, and factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Manage and support the livestock administration team to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Payment Processing: Ensure accurate and timely processing of livestock payments.
  • Systems Management: Work with IT to maintain and improve livestock systems and data accuracy.
  • Communication Hub: Be the go-to point for queries from farmers, buyers, and factory teams.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Generate reports, analyse data, and support strategic livestock planning.
  • Account Management: Liaise with Finance to ensure accuracy of accounts and timely deadlines.
  • Forecasting Support: Monitor livestock forecasts and support operational planning.
  • Cross-Department Liaison: Work closely with procurement, production and supply chain teams.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven background in administration within agriculture, food production, or supply chain.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • Comfortable working with internal systems and standard office software (MS Office or Google Workspace).
  • Agricultural background or livestock knowledge is highly desirable.
