Our client is a successful and highly regarded food producer supplying major UK retailers. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious Commercial Manager to join their North Yorkshire team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused individual with experience managing retailer relationships and using category insight to drive profitable growth.

The Role

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for managing key retailer accounts, identifying growth opportunities and ensuring the business continues to deliver exceptional service and value to its customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing retailer relationships
  • Delivering profitable sales growth across key accounts
  • Leading customer meetings and commercial negotiations
  • Developing category-led recommendations and growth plans
  • Analysing Kantar and retailer data to identify opportunities
  • Supporting pricing, forecasting and promotional activity
  • Working closely with operations and supply chain teams
  • Identifying new business and commercial opportunities

The Person

We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience supplying major UK retailers within food manufacturing or agricultural sectors.

You will possess:

  • Experience managing retailer accounts
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Excellent category management capability
  • A good understanding of Kantar and retailer insight data
  • Experience within food manufacturing, agriculture, meat, poultry, eggs, dairy, fresh produce or related FMCG sectors
  • Strong communication, analytical and relationship-building skills
  • A proactive and results-driven approach
