An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Factory Manager to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business in Hull. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving operational performance, leading large teams, and delivering continuous improvement across a fast-paced FMCG environment.
You will play a key role in shaping departmental strategy, leading change initiatives, and delivering measurable improvements in KPIs, safety, quality, and cost.
As a senior leader within the business, you will:
- Lead, coach, and develop large operational teams to deliver departmental objectives
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and engagement
- Deliver sustained KPI improvements across productivity, yield, and efficiency
- Lead and support change initiatives and improvement projects
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food safety, and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Technical, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR
- Engage confidently with high-profile customers and audits
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience in FMCG manufacturing operations (ideally food)
- A strong track record of managing large teams in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrable success in cost control, KPI delivery, and operational performance improvement
- Experience with lean manufacturing / continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong understanding of processing operations and factory environments
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to problem solve in real time
- Confidence in working with senior stakeholders and customers
