We are recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join a well-established and growing business in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR generalist who thrives in a busy operational setting and enjoys building strong relationships across all levels of the business.

The Role

As HR Advisor, you will provide proactive and practical HR support to managers and employees, ensuring HR best practice is delivered consistently across the organisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Managing employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management and investigations
  • Supporting managers with coaching and people management issues
  • Assisting with recruitment activities including advertising, interviewing and onboarding
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and employee data
  • Supporting payroll administration and ensuring payroll information is processed accurately
  • Reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Supporting HR audits and compliance activities
  • Keeping up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor position
  • Strong employee relations experience with the ability to manage a varied and busy caseload
  • Payroll administration experience
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to remain calm, professional and solution-focused under pressure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A sound understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified, or CIPD Level 3 with current progression towards CIPD Level 5
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
