Shift Manager in Hessle

Overview

Shift Manager. Location: East Riding. Salary: Up to £45,000. Our client, a well-established food manufacturing business in the East Riding, is seeking a Shift Manager with General Manager aspirations. This role would suit a Senior Line Leader/Production Supervisor/Shift Manager who is ready to accelerate their career within a structured development path. Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the daily production plan in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, ensuring full compliance with food safety, quality, GMP and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multi-skilled production team, manage labour and attendance, monitor performance against KPIs, and ensure customer orders are delivered in full and on time.
• Lead daily production meetings, drive continuous improvement activity, minimise waste and costs, and maintain high standards of behaviour, safety and engagement across the shift.
• Support training and development activities and ensure compliance with food safety, quality, GMP and H&S standards.

Qualifications / Experience

• Experience within food, manufacturing or warehousing is preferred, but strong people leadership skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced production environment will be considered.
• Proven ability to deliver results through a shift-based leadership approach and to develop a high-performing team.
