The Company
Our client is a prestigious and well-established food processing and manufacturing business based in North Norfolk. Renowned for delivering high-quality products to both food service and retail customers, they continue to grow from strength to strength. They’re now looking to appoint an inspirational Engineering Shift Lead to join their dedicated team.
The Role
Working on the highly desirable Panama shift and reporting to the Engineering Manager, you’ll lead a small team, ensuring full technical support for production operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a small team of engineers
- Provide hands-on support across mechanical & electrical systems
- Maintain production plant, facilities, and services
- Drive efficiency and minimise downtime
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, and improvement
The Person
We’re looking for a qualified engineer with a recognised apprenticeship and a solid background in both electrical and mechanical disciplines. FMCG experience is essential.
You’ll have:
- Strong knowledge of engineering drive systems and electrical controls (HMIs, Profibus, PLCs)
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication – both written and verbal
- A proactive approach to solving technical and performance issues
