A well-established FMCG manufacturing business based near Skipton are seeking either an experienced or someone wishing to step up to be the Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor. This is a hands-on supervisory role, ideal for a strong people person with a solid background in food, dairy or FMCG maintenance environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage the daily workload of six engineers and external contractors
- Plan, schedule and monitor PPMs and reactive maintenance
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and to standard
- Support continuous improvement of maintenance systems and reliability
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and engineering standards
- Act as first point of escalation for engineering issues during core hours
- Report performance, issues and progress directly to the Engineering Manager
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in an engineering supervisory or lead role within FMCG
- Strong knowledge of planned and reactive maintenance systems
- Experience using CMMS software
- Confident managing engineers and contractors
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Good organisational and communication skills
