Electrical design engineer for Power Engineering Services - 33KV to LV. This is a new role and the vision is for this team / department to grow.

Company: The Scotland (Central Belt) office for the HV/LV Power Electrical Services contracting division of a leading independent, multi-disciplined service provider that employs over 600 people in the UK and overseas with a turnover in excess of £75 million. This international mechanical & electrical engineering group can design, manufacture, install, maintain and service electrical solutions to customers across a broad range of industrial and commercial sectors.

The Role:

  • Design and specification of electrical installations, from low voltage (LV) to 33kV systems.
  • Comprehensive modelling of electrical systems, including load calculations, fault level assessments, and coordination of protective measures.
  • Ensuring designs and on-site work comply with relevant standards and regulations.

The Person:

  • Previous experience of electrical services design, ideally with an emphasis in Power Engineering however this is not essential.
  • Opportunities for career advancement are excellent as this role is currently undertaken by sub-contractors and the long term plan is for this role / team to grow.

Salary: From c£50k to c£65k for 37.5 hours a week. The package includes:

  • Car £460 Lease car value per month or £550 / month cash allowance.
  • Pension - 4% to 8%.
  • Private Healthcare.
  • 25 days holiday.
  • Excellent sick pay.
  • Bonus.
