We are working with a highly regarded and well-established food manufacturing business based near Glasgow, currently looking to appoint a Production Manager to strengthen their leadership team. This opportunity has arisen due to continued growth and increased production demand across the site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for quality and operational excellence, operating within a low-care production environment.

The Role:

As Production Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading a shift-based production team, ensuring that output, quality, safety, and efficiency targets are consistently achieved. You will play a key role in driving performance across the factory floor, developing team capability, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team within a fast-paced production environment
  • Deliver production targets across safety, quality, cost and service
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards
  • Monitor KPIs and take corrective action where required
  • Manage labour planning and performance to meet operational demands
  • Support and develop Supervisors and Team Leaders

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or Shift Supervisor
  • Experience working in a low-care or similar production environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams
  • Good understanding of food safety standards and operational compliance
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment
