An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and people-focused Team Manager to join a highly regarded food manufacturing business in Cheshire. Following continued growth and investment, the business is looking for a strong leader to play a key role in driving performance, developing teams, and delivering operational excellence on site.

The Role
Reporting to the Shift Manager, you will take responsibility for leading a production team to deliver the daily production plan safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will ensure products are produced on time, in full, and to specification while maintaining strict compliance with food safety, GMP, and health and safety standards. You will play a vital role in creating a positive and high-performing team culture, supporting your team to achieve operational targets while driving engagement and development across the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a production team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Deliver daily production targets on time, in full, and to specification
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Manage labour planning, attendance, and team performance to maximise productivity
- Monitor KPIs and take proactive action to drive operational performance
- Support and lead continuous improvement activities across safety, quality, cost, and productivity
- Facilitate improvement initiatives and projects across the production area
- Maintain high factory standards and ensure a safe, organised working environment
About You
- Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment, ideally within food manufacturing
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams on the shop floor
- Strong communication and people management skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement
- Good understanding of food safety, GMP, and health & safety standards
