The Role: As an internal sales engineer, you will be supporting all external sales engineers, nurturing existing client requirements—supporting new business across sectors such as industrial, commercial, and engineering. You will be required to offer quotes, take detailed specifications and also support clients to make sure their needs are met and offer correct information to any inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare fast, accurate quotations and convert them into orders—especially for standard or “rapid response” products available from stock.
  • Provide technical expertise to customers and internal sales teams, explaining product capabilities to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analyze customer requirements and tailor technical/commercial proposals accordingly.
  • Support pre-sales activities answering detailed technical questions.
  • Coordinate with engineering and procurement, production to gather information and ensure proposals match what the company can deliver.
  • Maintain CRM records of proposals, quotes, and pipeline activity.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle by providing reliable technical solutions.
