The Role
Take ownership of a growing transport and warehouse operation where you can make a visible impact. This is a hands-on leadership role with full responsibility for transport, warehouse, and site compliance. You’ll play a key part in shaping processes, improving performance, and supporting the next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport & Fleet
- Manage a fleet of HGVs, vans, and flatbed vehicles, including overseeing vehicle maintenance, inspections, and records
- Ensure compliance with O Licence and CPC requirements
- Coordinate delivery schedules and customer bookings
- Manage external carriers and logistics partners
- Warehouse & Operations
- Lead supervisors and warehouse operatives
- Oversee goods-in, storage, picking, and dispatch
- Coordinate on-site and off-site warehouse activity
- Compliance & H&S
- Own Transport, Health & Safety, and Facilities compliance
- Manage RAMS, audits, and compliance documentation
- Ensure safe use of racking, equipment, and site facilities
- Monitor incidents, inspections, and corrective actions
- Support development of the Integrated Management System and ISO 45001
- Quality & Improvement
- Maintain ISO 9001 standards
- Ensure compliance with accreditations (e.g. FORS)
- Drive continuous improvement across operations
- Review supplier performance and control costs
- Facilities
- Oversee site facilities, maintenance, and infrastructure
Requirements
Essential
- Experience in transport, logistics, or warehouse management
- Strong understanding of O Licence and transport compliance
- Knowledge of Health & Safety in operations
Desirable
- CPC (Road Haulage)
- Experience with ISO standards (9001 / 14001 / 45001)
- Lean or continuous improvement experience

Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 – £45,000
