A well-established food manufacturing business based in Bingley is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality, hygiene and processing operations across the site. This is a key role working closely with senior management to ensure high standards of food safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Quality Manager will oversee quality systems, hygiene standards and processing teams, with deputising responsibility for the Production Manager when required.
Key Responsibilities:- Management of processing operations and associated staff
- Ownership of quality control, food safety and hygiene standards across processing and packing areas
- Leading and developing teams, including training, performance reviews, rotas, attendance and discipline
- Leading HACCP and quality management meetings
- Managing audits, quality testing, non-conformances and corrective actions
- Maintaining and updating hygiene policies, procedures and work instructions
- Ensuring site safety, including contractor control and accident investigation support
- Stock control of processing consumables, chemicals and PPE
- Liaising with production, maintenance and suppliers to support site efficiency
- Driving continuous improvement of processing systems and procedures
- Experience in a Quality or Processing Management role within food manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and hygiene systems
- Confident people manager with a proactive, hands-on approach
