What You’ll Be Doing

What You Should Bring

As a DevOps Engineer at Alana, you’ll be the backbone of our engineering team – designing, maintaining, and scaling the infrastructure that keeps our AI systems secure, reliable, and fast. You’ll partner with AI researchers, product engineers, and data teams to deliver high‑performing systems that evolve rapidly and safely. Your work might include:

  • Designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for rapid, reliable deployment
  • Building observability into systems through metrics, logging, and alerting
  • Scaling cloud infrastructure to support high‑throughput AI workloads
  • Implementing automation and IaC (Infrastructure as Code) practices
  • Improving reliability, resilience, and security across distributed systems
  • Supporting developers with tools and environments that accelerate iteration
  • 4+ years of experience managing production‑grade infrastructure
  • Expertise with AWS
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform (or similar)
  • Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar
  • Understanding of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, etc.)
  • A proactive, problem‑solving mindset and a passion for operational excellence.

Extra Credit

  • Experience supporting ML or AI‑driven systems
  • Familiarity with backend services written in Go and Python
  • Comfort with data infrastructure or event‑driven systems
  • Interest in developer experience, automation, and performance optimization
  • Experience mentoring or leading DevOps projects.
