Vice President - Technology M&A (London)

A leading US mid-market investment bank is scaling its London Technology M&A franchise and is seeking a Vice President with 6+ years of M&A / corporate finance experience.

You'll take full ownership of live mandates - from origination and pitch leadership through to execution, due diligence, and closing - while acting as a trusted adviser to founders, management teams, and private equity sponsors.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions for European tech companies (Β£50m-Β£500m deal sizes)
  • Drive origination: identify opportunities, develop pitch ideas, and build relationships with founders, PE firms, and strategic buyers.
  • Oversee financial modelling, valuation, and transaction structuring (DCF, LBO, merger/contribution, accretion/dilution, comps).
  • Manage CIMs, management presentations, and pitchbooks; present directly to C-suite executives and investment committees.
  • Run due diligence processes, coordinate with legal/accounting advisers, and lead buyer/seller negotiations.
  • Mentor and develop Associates and Analysts; ensure high-quality, timely delivery across multiple concurrent deals.

Key requirements:

  • Must have 6+ years in Investment Banking / M&A / corporate finance, with a strong track record in tech/TMT
  • Proven experience leading live M&A mandates from pitch to close.
  • Advanced financial modelling and valuation skills; comfortable owning complex workstreams.
  • Strong client-facing presence; able to build credibility with founders, PE sponsors, and senior executives.
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset; eager to grow into a Director / Principal role.
