An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&A Associate or Associate Director to join a growing, specialist corporate finance advisory firm.

The firm advises ambitious businesses, entrepreneurs and shareholders across the creative, marketing services, technology and digital sectors.

Due to continued growth and an increasing focus on M&A, the firm is looking to appoint a high-calibre professional who can take meaningful responsibility across a broad range of transactions.

The opportunity

You will work closely with Partners and clients on both buy-side and sell-side assignments.

You will play a key role in managing transaction execution, supporting client relationships and contributing to business development.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking or corporate finance professional who combines strong technical capability with commercial judgement and first-class communication skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of M&A and corporate finance assignments.
  • Work closely with Partners, shareholders and management teams throughout the transaction process.
  • Prepare and review financial models, valuations and transaction analyses.
  • Produce information memoranda, teasers, management presentations and board materials.
  • Undertake market research, sector analysis and buyer or investor identification.
  • Coordinate due diligence processes and manage communication between clients and advisers.
  • Support clients with transaction strategy, positioning and valuation considerations.
  • Attend and help lead client meetings, management presentations and buyer discussions.
  • Review financial and commercial information to identify key value drivers.
  • Manage and support junior team members.
  • Contribute to pitch preparation, business development and prospective client origination.
  • Build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, acquirers and sector participants.

You will ideally have

  • Ideally have between 4-6 years’ M&A experience from an investment bank, boutique advisory firm or from an Accountancy Firm Corporate Finance M&A team.
  • A strong track record of involvement in completed M&A or corporate finance transactions.
  • Experience across the full transaction lifecycle, including execution and completion.
  • The ability to manage multiple assignments and competing deadlines.
  • Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills.
  • A strong understanding of due diligence, negotiations and transaction processes.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • The confidence to engage with business owners, management teams, investors and senior advisers.
  • Strong commercial awareness, attention to detail and sound judgement.
  • Experience in, or a genuine interest in, the creative, marketing services, technology, digital or Saa S sectors.
