The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Associate to join a well-established, high-performing Technology team. Ideal candidates will be M&A professionals with 3 - 5 years of M&A / Corporate Finance deal execution experience from a Bank or Leading Advisory platform. You’ll be at the heart of the deal process—originating, analysing, and executing transactions rather than working from the sidelines. Experience or strong interest in the technology sector is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Business Plans: Preparing, analysing, and explaining companies' historical and projected financial information and business plans.
- Due Diligence Coordination: Performing and coordinating business due diligence to ensure that all relevant information is considered in decision-making.
- Marketing & Presentations: Developing impactful marketing materials, such as management presentations and marketing pitches, tailored to different audiences and needs.
- Valuation: Assisting in the valuation of companies and businesses, considering both financial and strategic perspectives.
- M&A Engagement Support: Assisting in the marketing and planning of M&A engagements and contributing to the execution of active transactions.
- Team Leadership & Development: Supervising and mentoring junior staff to help them grow, ensuring they are empowered and supported in their work.
- Problem Solving & Innovation: Bringing creative solutions and fresh ideas to the table to overcome challenges and drive results.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Must have 3 - 5 years of M&A sell side deal execution experience ideally from an investment bank or boutique advisory or Accountancy firm within Corporate Finance / M&A Team.
- Tech sector experience is desirable.
- Proven experience with mid-market M&A transactions and working with high profile Private Equity clients including an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with this space.
- Must have strong ability to analyse and value companies, particularly in the context of technology, financial performance, strategic relevance, and market attractiveness.
- Must have exceptional oral and written communication abilities, with a focus on building rapport with clients and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Proven ability to coach and support junior staff members, fostering an environment of collaboration and mutual respect.
