Our client is a leading independent Corporate Finance Advisory Firm focused on Real Assets, Sustainability & Essential Services with offices globally. The firm is looking to hire an Assistant Director into their Debt Advisory Group, a team that provides debt advisory and execution services within the wider firm serving financial sponsors, corporates and developers across the real assets spectrum, including infrastructure, renewable energy, real estate and transportation sectors.
You will be an ambitious and dynamic finance professional, comfortable with debt structures across real assets, including bank, institutional and private credit structures across senior and junior debt, including project finance and fund finance. The role will involve directly managing client relationships in addition to managing lender market engagement to deliver transactions from end-to-end. You will also be responsible for leading deal teams with the oversight of a Director, including day-to-day management and mentoring of junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Client Support: Advising and supporting clients with debt advisory.
- Execution Lead: Running the day-to-day execution of transactions which includes preparation of information memoranda, transaction structuring, financial modelling, management presentations and execution of legal documentation.
- Business Development: Assist on new idea generation, initiatives and pitches - identifying potential target transactions and clients. Assisting with preparation of pitch books, memorandums, management presentations, board materials and other presentation materials for use in strategic client dialogue.
- Relationships: Assist managing existing lending relationships across banks, institutions and private credit.
- Mentoring: Support the team's development and learning, being the role model and mentor for junior colleagues.
- 6+ years' experience, with a focus on real assets and the sectors listed above, including time spent in a corporate lending, risk or debt advisory function from either a Big 4 Debt Advisory Team or a Property Firm or a Bank.
- Excellent deal execution (must have).
- Generalist cross-sector real assets debt experience, including senior and junior debt. Familiarity with real estate finance, project finance and fund finance would be a strong advantage.
- Strong and demonstrable track record of interacting well and building relationships with a large range of stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) applied internally and externally: listening, information gathering, collaborating, influencing and negotiating.
- Ambitious and looking for significant career development with a commitment to continuously learning.
