Corporate Finance Manager / Associate Director

About Us

A small, entrepreneurial investment banking and broking firm is expanding its Corporate Finance team. They provide hands-on advisory services to a diverse mix of public and private clients—including extensive experience in natural resources, and growing specialties in transitional energy, renewables, and technology. With integrated expertise spanning investment banking, research, and sales, they deliver high-quality, client-focused advice in a collaborative environment.

The Role

We are looking for a driven and experienced Manager or Associate Director to play a key role in delivering complex transactions across ECM, M&A, and private placements for public and private companies. You’ll gain significant responsibility from day one, working within a flat team structure that encourages autonomy, initiative, and exposure on live mandates.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and manage transactions from origination through execution, including fundraisings, mergers & acquisitions, and capital market mandates.
  • Run multiple assignments at once—from sell-side, buy-side, to capital raising—ensuring seamless project delivery.
  • Engage directly with institutional and private investors to promote client investment opportunities, collaborating closely with research and sales.
  • Oversee the creation of key transaction documents such as investor presentations, information memoranda, and regulatory filings.
  • Build and nurture client relationships, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor and main point of contact.
  • Guide, mentor, and review the work of junior team members to maintain the highest standards.
  • Coordinate effectively with legal, accounting, and due diligence partners.
  • Support senior leadership with deal origination and ongoing business development.
  • Contribute to the firm’s strategy and continuous improvement efforts.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Track record in corporate finance, investment banking, or transaction services, with completed UK public market deals.
  • Experience engaging investors and articulating investment cases within broking or fundraising processes.
  • Strong financial modelling, analytical, and transaction structuring skills.
  • Deep understanding of equity markets and regulatory frameworks.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; you effortlessly produce top-tier client materials.
  • Professional qualifications (ACA, CFA, or equivalent) preferred but not required.
  • Sector experience in natural resources, energy, or technology is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive with a high degree of independence.

They prize ambition, collaboration, and initiative—a supportive place where you can truly grow and take ownership of your work. If you’re ready to take your corporate finance career to the next level within a progressive, hands-on team, we would love to hear from you.
