We are partnering with a leading, sector‑focused investment banking platform to hire a Senior Associate / junior VP into its Industrials M&A team in London. The team advises international corporates and financial sponsors on complex cross‑border transactions across a broad range of Industrials sub‑sectors, working in small deal teams with direct senior banker and client exposure.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the execution of sell‑side, buy‑side and strategic advisory mandates, as well as supporting origination across Industrials (e.g. capital goods, industrial technology, building materials, engineered products and packaging). This is an opportunity to join a high‑calibre, entrepreneurial platform with strong sector credentials and access to deep technical and industry expertise.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day‑to‑day workstreams on live M&A and corporate finance mandates in the Industrials sector
  • Drive preparation of core deal materials, including IMs, management presentations, process documentation and internal committee papers
  • Develop, review and refine financial models and valuation analyses (trading and transaction comps, DCF, LBO) and clearly communicate conclusions
  • Prepare and deliver high‑quality client presentations and pitches, contributing to business development and idea generation
  • Coordinate internal teams and external advisers to execute transactions efficiently and to the highest standard
  • Support and increasingly lead client and counterparty interactions, building long‑term relationships
  • Mentor and oversee Analysts and junior Associates on technical and process work
Candidate profile
  • 5–8 years’ experience in investment banking / M&A advisory, with clear exposure to Industrials or adjacent sectors
  • Strong execution track record, including leading workstreams on both sell‑side and buy‑side processes
  • Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to interact directly with senior clients in a small‑team environment
  • Commercial, proactive and comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, growth‑oriented platform
  • International outlook; additional European languages are helpful but not essential
  • Existing right to live and work in the UK
