A rare London seat at the heart of a growing international distribution platform. A specialist asset finance bank is making a strategic hire in London to strengthen the integration between its distribution and origination functions. This is a newly created front-office role, working directly alongside the Head of Syndicate & Sales - a recently appointed senior leader with a clear mandate to embed distribution more deeply into the origination process across the UK, Germany and the US. The team currently has no London-based execution resource, and this hire will be central to changing that.
The Opportunity
You will sit at the centre of a lean, high-performing Syndicate & Sales function, taking hands-on ownership of deal execution from initiation through to settlement. Working closely with a broader origination network of around 50 professionals across London, Frankfurt and New York, you will be the critical link between distribution and the wider business in the UK. This is not a background role. The hiring manager is personally invested in developing the right person and has explicitly committed time to mentoring and training. There is a well-defined career path to Director level, with the possibility of expanding your remit across distribution and origination - including internationally - as you grow with the platform. You will have direct exposure to the senior directors across the UK, Germany and the US from day one.
What You'll Do
- Support distribution and placement of primary and secondary positions across asset finance transactions (project finance, transport finance and infrastructure).
- Assist with syndication opinions, investor memos, teasers and pricing analysis in support of the credit application process.
- Execute syndication, true sale transactions and risk transfers end-to-end.
- Work with origination teams on deal structuring to optimise distribution outcomes.
- Manage and develop relationships with bank distribution channels and institutional investors.
- Contribute to portfolio and RWA optimisation initiatives and maintain pipeline tracking.
- Support KYC, AML and compliance processes, liaising with credit, legal, treasury and loans administration.
What We're Looking For
The team values personality and adaptability as much as technical skill. The right candidate will be comfortable in an international, multi-location environment and will thrive on the variety and pace of a front-office distribution role.
Essential:
- 2–5 years of experience in banking, credit or structured finance, with exposure to loan syndication, distribution or a closely adjacent origination role.
- Solid understanding of credit products, loan structures and distribution dynamics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a front-office mindset — relationship-driven, proactive and credible with clients and internal stakeholders alike.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with syndication platforms such as Debtdomain is an advantage.
- Comfortable operating across multiple stakeholders in a cross-border environment.
Highly Desirable:
- German language skills — the team works closely with German origination colleagues and Sparkasse banking clients, and this will meaningfully accelerate your impact.
- Exposure to project finance, infrastructure or transport finance.
- Familiarity with secondary market settlement processes and risk transfer mechanisms / CPRI.
The Environment
The London office is a modern, well-appointed space in St Paul's, and a genuinely collaborative culture. The team is close-knit, supportive and inclusive, with strong working relationships across the wider origination and credit functions. The role requires approximately three to four days per week in the office, in line with the front-office culture of the team.
