Alan Boswell Group is looking for an experienced, full-time marketing executive to support our continued growth and the success of our established marketing department.

Alan Boswell Group is an independent, award-winning insurance broking and financial planning group with over 40 years’ experience. Since our establishment in 1982, we have grown to over 450 employees across our seven offices in the East of England. Our marketing department services our insurance broking, financial planning, risk management and underwriting divisions, ensuring that our activities are suited to our target audiences and meet our objectives, which are:

  • Drive lead generation.
  • Keep our clients engaged.

The role

We are looking for a marketing professional with broad experience and a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role to support a wide range of marketing activities across our B2B, B2C, and wholesale propositions. This position offers exposure to varied marketing disciplines and requires an individual capable of delivering high-quality output across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

  • Execution of day-to-day tasks and projects.
  • Creation of digital and printed marketing collateral and sales support materials.
  • Manage production of video content in conjunction with an external agency.
  • Maintain and update our websites as required.
  • Oversee sponsorship activity within company parameters and ensure delivery of agreed benefits.
  • Assist with the execution of the external and internal communication plan for the Group.
  • Produce briefs in conjunction with the SEO team and maintain high standards of SEO across online activity.
  • Assist with the production of digital content, including quarterly newsletters, client case studies, PR, and SEO articles.
  • Ensure our tone of voice is used throughout all external communications.
  • Ensure the department’s work complies with all organisational and legal frameworks.
  • Be accountable for measuring, reporting, and analysing campaign results.
  • Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required.

Essential skills / knowledge

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a professional services environment.

Desirable skills / knowledge

  • Experience or strong interest in video production.
  • Experience or strong interest in graphic design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud. Specifically, InDesign and, ideally, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • CRM campaign and automation knowledge, ideally using ActiveCampaign.
  • Experience using AI tools (including Copilot) to enhance efficiency.
