As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead a global Supplier Management team, overseeing supplier capability, quality, supplier development, and monitoring activities for PCBs (Electronic Boards) at a GE Manufacturing facility. You will collaborate closely with Sourcing, Procurement, Project Quality, and Engineering to deliver quality products with a total cost mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of short- and mid-term Supplier Management strategies in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements related to supplier quality.
- Drive supplier improvements through Root Cause Analysis (RCA), process and product qualification, and managing Supplier Deviation Requests (SDR).
- Oversee registration, monitoring, and management of Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) recovery.
- Support digitization and simplification of Supplier Management processes, including performance dashboards.
- Maintain key Supplier Management metrics to ensure high standards of excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering).
- Training or accreditation in IPC-A-610.
- Significant experience in Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Quality Management.
- Experience in Control Cubicle Wiring, PCB Manufacture and Quality, Wiring Standards, Crimping, and Harness Assembly.
- Fluency in English (both spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.
- Outstanding leadership and cross‑functional teamwork skills.
- Strong influence and communication skills to build relationships and drive continuous improvement across global boundaries.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
