We are looking for a Senior R&D Manager – Research & Innovation to lead advanced research and blue‑sky innovation in grid and energy transmission technologies. Key Responsibilities
- Lead advanced and exploratory R&D programs focused on future energy transmission technologies.
- Drive blue‑sky thinking beyond incremental product development, identifying disruptive concepts and emerging trends.
- Explore innovations in areas such as HVDC/HVAC transmission, power systems, power electronics, grid digitalization, advanced materials, insulation systems, and grid resilience.
- Translate early‑stage research into strategic technology options, platforms, and intellectual property.
- Develop long‑term technology and research roadmaps aligned with energy transition, sustainability, and grid modernization needs.
- Lead and inspire globally distributed, multicultural R&D teams.
- Foster an entrepreneurial research culture that encourages experimentation, learning, and calculated risk‑taking.
- Build strong external collaborations with universities, research institutes, utilities, startups, and industry consortia.
- Represent the company in international research programs, innovation ecosystems, and standardization bodies.
Requirements
